Jodi Lynn Picoult (born May 19, 1966) is a bestselling American author renowned for emotionally charged novels that tackle complex ethical issues. Raised on Long Island, New York, she earned a BA in Creative Writing from Princeton University and a Master's in Education from Harvard. Her debut novel, Songs of the Humpback Whale, was published in 1992, and she has since released more than 29 books, including heart-wrenching hits like My Sister’s Keeper, Nineteen Minutes, Small Great Things, and A Spark of Light.
