Diljeet Dosanjh Taylor is a renowned distance running coach and author of the motivational book Believe in HER. Based in Provo, Utah, she serves as BYU’s head women’s cross country coach and Associate Director of Track & Field. Under her leadership, BYU earned NCAA women’s cross country national titles in 2020, 2021, and 2024. Taylor has earned multiple top coaching honors, including USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year and Utah Governor’s State of Sport Coach of the Year. Raised in California and of Indian Sikh heritage, she began her competitive career as a collegiate All-American in middle distance running at Cal State Stanislaus, later joining the BYU program in 2016. In 2025, she signed with Nike to lead the Utah division of their Swoosh TC pro group. Taylor’s debut book offers life lessons from her coaching philosophy and focuses on building belief and confidence in young women.
